It is inspired by cooking from your pantry which our tradizionale pasta sauce is very good for. It’s a very quick and easy recipe that you can make in no time at all.

Preparation
- In a large pan, fry the onions in olive oil until they become translucent.
- Add the bottle of Bertolli Tradizionale pasta sauce. Put some water in the empty bottle, shake and add this to the pan too.
- Bring to the boil and add the bay leaf and thyme.
- Put on low heat and let the soup simmer for half an hour.
- Before serving, mash the soup in the pan and you can add some salt and pepper to taste.
Optional: cream or mascarpone and fresh basil or parsley before serving.

- 1 bottle of Bertolli Sugo per Pasta Tradizionale – 690ml
- 1 big onion roughly chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic peeled and smashed
- 3 bay leaves (fresh or dried)
- 1 tsp thyme (fresh or dried)
- Bertolli extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
