Preparation

  1. We start with the pasta. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet and save 100 ml of the cooking liquid.
  2. Add the pesto and 100 ml of cooking liquid to a pan and heat. Stir well to combine.
  3. Then add the cooked orecchiette pasta to this and stir.
  4. Divide the pasta among 4 plates and serve with a pinch of chilli flakes, grated Parmesan cheese and a sprig of basil. Finally, a dash of  Bertolli extra virgin olive oil on top and buon appetito!Variation tip: also delicious with feta instead of Parmesan cheese.

  • 300 gr pasta, we use orecchiette
  • 100 ml cooking liquid from the pasta
  • 1 tbs Bertolli extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 tbs Bertolli Pesto Rosso
  • (Extra vergin) olive oil
  • Chilli flakes
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Basil
